Nivea Body Lotion & Creme! - A Review

There are a few skin care stuff any girl cannot live without like a basic body lotion, skin cream, sunscreen, lip balm to name a few. Nivea has successfully recently revamped its product range to fulfill all these requirements.
Nivea Body Lotion Whitening Cell Repair & UV Protect is one of the recent launches of Nivea. It has Camu Camu and Acerola Cherry and its suitable for all skin types. Its white in color and of a bit watery consistency than other lotions. My skin touches the verge of oily and this cream works great without making my skin feel shiny or sticky, yet gives a great nourishment. The suppleness stays on easily for more than 8-10 hours. However I doubt if its enough for dry or extra-dry skin people in winters!!! For normal to oily skin people, even in a heck of a winter, this is perfect!!!!! And its really super fast in absorbing. Super like!!!

Though it says, its UV Protect it doesn't give any details on the UVA or UVB Factors. So, its not enough to skip the sunscreen. It claims to have 40 times more Vitamin C. When it comes to Vitamin C, I am convinced about the 'whitening' or rather the bleaching factor - lemons and tomatoes used as home remedies for tanning has Vitamin C. The citrus in it removes tan and bleaches the skin. When this lotion has the same, technically this one too should help to remove tan.
Whitening - Its kinda ok. I mean, it works to certain extent in removing tan, but you cant replace it with bleaching treatment or skip your sunscreen!!!
As a Body Lotion - Its fabulous. Its light, has a good aroma, and stays for real long.
Next in the row comes the creme - the traditional Nivea Creme! When I saw this, first thing that came to my mind was, 'What happened to my dear old Nivea tin???!!!!!'. Boohooo!!! Sobs!!!!! Its gone. Its now in plastic. It depresses me. Lakme also changed its cremes' packaging from glass to plastic. Now Nivea's tin has become plastic. I really miss the charm of that tin!!!
Anyways, to the product. Seriously, has there been anyone who hasn't used Nivea creme atleast once in their lifetime??? I doubt!!!! The aroma - its pleasant, floral and fabulous. A wee bit stronger than how it was in the tin, years ago...
The consistency has improved. Its pretty much thick now. Its not too oily too and it does not make the skin sticky. Years ago when I tried my hand in Nivea creme (in tin), it was pretty much oily, sticky and just not suitable for me. Now its not so. I could even use it on my face. I'm planning to use it as my night creme! If you have a dry skin you could use it as a day creme too. It nourishes the skin really really well!!!

The product was gifted by the company through
Indian Beauty Central via a giveaway, however the opinions are of my own experience and are this post does not to advertise the product.

  2. I use Nivea every time I go to China, especially during winter season 'coz my skin can break because of the cold weather. It really leaves a aromatic feel and smell. Totally recommended! ;)
