Recently I dressed up in simple black and white dress, and wore some colorful, statement accessories!!! Here it is.. Hope you like! :)
Recently I got to meet Ms. Janet Nkubana. She is the co-founder of Gahaya Links, Rwanda. In the year 1994, during the Rwanda Genocide more than a million men were killed leaving the country filled with several widows and young girls. The girls here know the craft of basket weaving called Agaseke which was passed on by mothers to daughters. Ms.Janet with her sister, set up Gahaya Links to sell these baskets. These baskets formed the livelihood of these women and were called Peace Baskets. Over the period of time, product intervention in the basket weaving technique gave rise to such awesome accessories, home decor, gift articles as well!
