Lotus Herbals recently launched the White Glow series of products and I laid my hands on the Night Creme. Its called the Lotus Herbals White Glow Skin Whitening and Brightening Nourishing Night Creme.
The brand claims that its for all skin types and its a technologically advanced formulation provide triple action of lightening, brightening and whitening!
It has Grape fruit extracts, Mulberry Extracts, Milk Enzymes and Saxifraga extracts. Here's the complete list of ingredients!
It comes is a cute silvery grey packaging plastic tub packaging. The lid is a screw type one, with metal with plastic coating within. At times I use the lid as a mirror, its that good. Lolz!!! The creme is a creamy consistency white creme!
The product promises that if you apply it before going to sleep, it reduces dark spots, dullness and appearance of pores, also corrects uneven skin tone and improves skin moisture balance. But the product also says that its to be used after using Lotus Whiteglow 3 in 1 Deep Cleansing Skin Whitening Facial Foam and recommends using Lotus Whiteglow Intensive Skin Whitening and Lightening Serum.
Well, I've been using the product for almost 3 weeks now just the creme without the facial foam or serum. Yes, the overall skin tone has improved, in the sense, the tan and pigmentation are very much gone. The under eye darkness is also improved. But the product did not have any effect on my spots, the pimple marks etc. It serves very well as a moisturizer. I must also add that I applied it regularly by late evening than when going to sleep, coz my sleep pattern is so damn irregular!!! Over all, good product, if used regularly, if you don't have too many scars or pimple spots. Could work much better is sleep pattern is regular as well!!!

good review. However I have a question. If I understand the product is for lighting one's skin- is that healthy?
ReplyDeleteThanks Ivana! Lightening in the sense, it doesn't change the skintone, but just removes tan and pigmentation etc and brings back the real skintone!
DeleteIt has paraben... I havn't tried an lotus product yet
ReplyDeleteShikha,
DeleteIt has paraben. But I'm not still convinced with the 'paraben causes cancer' thing... Not many studies has been done on that yet. Let's leave that to the researchers! :)
Very interesting. Am glad it worked in some way for you!! Have a great weekend x

Thanks for your comments girls! Glad you liked the review! :)
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered about these products. Why would you want to be paler? I'm always trying to look more bronzed :)
ReplyDeleteHey T,
ReplyDeleteDepends on skin tone. Fair skinned people want a bronzed look and go for tanning. Darker skinned ones look out to remove the tan and pigmentation...
You see, grass is always greener on the other side! Lolz! :D
Is it safe for sensitive skin as well?
