To the Office - Style 51

Apart from Black, blue, brown and white jeans, the only 'color' that I've owned was 'Olive Green'!!! Yeah, I know it sounds ridiculous!!! It was way back in 2002. I do own several colored leggings in all bright colors, but not trousers or jean! But, I badly wanted to get a few, including one floral print one. So, to start with I got a bubblegum pink one... Like it?

Wooden Bangles: Handmade by artisans of Chennapatna
Strawberry Earrings: Naidu Hall, Chennai
Red Beaded Necklace: Crafts Museum, New Delhi
Pink Beaded Necklace: Khadi Kraft, Chennai

Actually I'm used to wearing slim fit jeans. I've worn a couple of boot cut and straight cut trousers too! But a pegged trousers - never!!! I was a bit doubtful but then I wanted to try it... Then, I spotted this perfect trousers at I Know Studio. It was in this gorgeous bubble gum pink color with inverted pleats at the waist, so the hip is full and then it tapered to the ankle. It was really really comfy to wear. Since the trousers was so bright colored, I teamed it with crisp white shirt! Its a brand by the Indian designer duo Siddharth & Timsy! Their creations are so nice and elegant with pretty color combos... When I received it, I checked the finish of the garment and it was impeccable!!! I'm so much in love with it. You should check it out too! Btw, I'm sure I'll be trying more colored trousers and may be a printed trouser too!!! 
On the other hand, my shoes!!! How many times have I declared my love for shoes in this blog??!!! And how many times have I declared my love for wedges??!!! Wedges give the required height without killing the feet!!! I found these lovely platform wedges in the online store Mart of China. Its made of faux suede. I loved the bright red color. When I saw them online, I thought the ankle straps had buckle. But when it came, actually the buckle was only as a decor, they had velcro to secure them!!! The fit and finish were very good! But, the best part, it was so damn comfy too!!!!!

  5. Hey Bhushavali. Have a question for you. How was your shopping experience with Mart of China - I mean how easy was it to order, when did they deliver, what is the quality of the shoes, do they have a return policy, etc. Would be great if you reply to my queries :)

    1. Shopping experience was indeed good. The navigation, sorting, search are good. Delivery took a month as I had opted for normal shipping and packaging was good. Quality of the shoes is very good, can't comment on the longevity now though. They do have return policy, about which I don't know coz I haven't tried that! :) :) :)

  12. Lovely outfit! I really love these colors together :) When I worked at an office, brown and black...and gray were big hits lol. Although those colors are pretty, something like what you're wearing is always refreshing. In fact, I'd prefer to wear something colorful to stand out from a sea of black and brown.
