Travel Style - Faded Khadi Kurta

If you're also following my other blog, My Travelogue, you might be knowing that I was roaming about Kanchipuram and Chengalpet in Tamilnadu recently.
Guess what, the little girl on the left, in the above picture is me as well!!!!!!! This was during my last visit to the place, more than 2 decades ago....... That was taken then in a roll film camera and printed and then scanned... The place is a temple called Thanthondreeswara Temple in Kanchipuram. Here's my travelogue on more about the place.
Btw, here's what I wore for the trip. The top is made by me, out of Khadi (Handspun Handloom Cotton) fabric. Its Natural dyed as well. Well, it was one of the trial and errors. When trying out this color, unfortunately the color was not fast, and was not staying well. So the color was skipped and this piece was kept aside. Over some time, the color had gradually faded taking the pattern in which it was folded and kept!!! Then I thought, why not use this faded striped effect as it is and made a top with it with a hint of sequins... So here's the outcome...

Top: Bhushavali [Made of Natural Dyed Khadi (Handspun Handloom) Fabric]
Jeans: Jealous 21
Glasscut Bangles: Thrifted from a Flea Market in Chennai
Shoes: Khadims
