Queen of Oil Argan Oil - A Review

As I said already, I've been really exploring the lots of oils these days incl Lemon Grass oil, Coconut oil, Almond oil etc. for both skin & hair care. The latest in this list is Argan Oil.
Argan Oil is a plant oil from the kernels of argan oil. This plant grows in Morocco. So its called Moroccan Oil as well. You may remember my earlier post on the shampoo & conditioner with Argan Oil in it. Now, its time to use the purest form of Argan Oil as it is. Queen of Oils is a brand of Argan Oil. It produces organic, cold pressed argan oil bottled at Agadir Souss Valley in Morocco.
Its not very thin in consistency, but not as thick as coconut oil. The packaging is with an eyedropper and that's very convenient to dispense very little quantity. And the best part is just 4 drops are enough for both half hands. The aroma is not mild, its slightly pungent. Its not a very pleasing aroma.
Since the consistency is not very thick, it gets absorbed into the skin very easily. So once dispensed onto the skin it has to be spread very quickly. Its totally colorless and doesn't transfer to clothes. I totally love the way it feels on the skin after applying. Its doesn't leave any shine and the pungent smell doesn't come out after a while. This is just a fabulous moisturizer. Even in 4 deg C, just 4-5 drops were enough to keep an entire arm moisturized all day!!!
Its great on hair as well. Since its not very thick, massaging it on hair & leaving overnight, doesn't transfer it to the pillow. However I prefer a thicker oil on hair pre-shower, coz when I apply pressure and massage my scalp, I prefer an oily feel, that coconot/olive oil gives. However on very cold days, I apply a little bit Argan oil on scalp before going out, to prevent the hair from getting dry & frizzy and it works well.
Apart from pure argan oil, the brand also produces some other products like lipbalms which I'm yet to try.

P.S: The product was gifted by the company for reviewing purpose, however the opinions are of my own experience and are this post does not to advertise the product. They can be bought online at queenonoil.com.

  2. I've heard about the benefits of Argan oil and some of my hair products actually have the ingredient, but not just pure oil itself!

  10. It's nice that it comes in droplets to ease the use. It's really important to control the level of oil you use and this makes it easier. It can really be good to your skin and your hair too.

  11. i'm using 100% organic cold press argan oil too. i wouldn't say it's pungent though. it's more of a nutty smell. i'm using it more on my hair ends and some times when i get too lazy to go through my skincare routine, i'll just drop 2 drops onto my palms and pat them onto my face. haha!

  12. I was able to try argan oil before and it really is a miracle oil with lots of benefits. I used it on my stretchmarks but since it was just a small bottle that I used, there were not much difference. Still, I'm willing to try it out again soon.
