London Fashion Week 2016 - Apparel at Scoop London

Wrapping up Scoop London 2016 with the clothing. A brand that I totally fell in love with was Bruniana. Its a knitwear brand that very much reminded me of my university days. The knitwear specialty students always came up with those kind of quirky, colorful, textured clothing.

Made in Italy, with lots of protruded elements, miss stitches to add puckering, more detailing with crochet, pearls and hand embroidery, they looked impeccable. Mixing suede, leather, non wovens with machine knit and hand knit fabrics, the garments were very unique and not something you see often!!!

Another made in Italy brand was Martina Couture of Ms.Martina Grisolia. The garments she makes have a fabulous oomph factor!!! Made of silk jacquard taffeta, satin, georgette, lace etc, she makes dresses, gowns, wedding gown, mom & daughter identical sets. Her cuts were sexy and make every woman's body very very flattering like extra flap with bustier, skater dress flares etc. With minimal and very aesthetic embellishments like woven fabric ribbons, flowers of same fabric with burnt edges, leather & crochet florals, etc she hits the nail!!

Remember the wedding jewelry by Lily and Rose in the last post? Here's her wedding clothes mostly done with handmade laces, its all couture!!!

Ardent & Co was another brand that was pretty interesting. The fabrics and the cuts very much reminded me of renaissance styling! Esp this particular cape reminded of the outfit depicted in 'Arnolfini Wedding' by Jan Van Eyck!!! The velvets, the flared cuts, some fur & jacquard detailing, its all very classic and Renaissance-ic!!!
Aquascutum is more than a century old brand which boasts as the first every developers of the classic trench coats and till date they product the gorgeous trench coats in all trendy styles, cuts and colors. Not just trench coats, but a lot of outerwear. This particular tweed jacket with fringed detailing along the buttonhole placket & pockets was pretty interesting!
S for Shoko is a brand new brand from Japan, just launched in London, with lovely, colorful, printed dresses. But what attracted me the most in her collection was this multi tone pink, red & aqua tweed jackets!!! Aren't they just stunning??!!! Though a Japanese brand, the products are very much made in England!!!
Yet another Italian brand here was Cettina Bucca. Most of her fabrics are from Sicily and most of her garments had a costume-ic feel about them. Many had a feather detailing and frilly, flouncy cuts that were super stylish!!!
...and that wraps Scoop London on my blog. Oopss.. I almost forgot!!! Coming back soon with what I wore for various events across LFW!!!

  4. I don't have the chance to wear most of the clothes that I like the style of because of the very warm weather that we have here! I think those are all lovely! And just imagine the hard work put in every piece, that's awesome.

  6. Not too fond of these styles. Didn't like too frilly knits. Didn't like those over-flared wraps as well.
