More Lip Balms - Nivea & Vaseline Therapy

I'm a sucker for lipbalms. I've claimed it already here, here, here, here, here, here and here! Now comes the review of 4 more that recently were added in my stash - 2 by vaseline and 2 by nivea.
The first one is Vaseline Rosy Lips which has already gotten a lot of good reviews. Unlike most of my favourite lip balms which usually 'do not' have petroleum jelly in them, this one has! That was the very reason I gave up Vaseline ages ago. However when I saw these 2 with a romantic Rosy flavor & yummy Cocoa flavor, I just had to try it out. The Rosy Lips version has Rose and Almond Oil in it. It comes both in a twist stick and a tub. I bought the tub one coz the price difference was very less but the quantity they was much high in the tub. Its consistency is creamy and quite unusually it doesn't melt easily. It looks hotpink in the tub but leaves a gentle sheer pink tint on the lips. The aroma is so so mesmerizing. I totally love the aroma of rose that it has. Its so so pleasing!!! I'm just swept off my feet!!!
The Cocoa Butter version pretty much reminded me of Himalayas Lip Butter with Cocoa Butter. The consistency is same as Rosy Lips version. The flavour is cocoa and that just doesn't require an explanation! Its yummy!!! It is completely colorless. Both these, leave the lips soft, supple and moisturized for a very long time and prove excellent esp beneath those matte lippies!!!
I've already reviewed the Nivea Fruity Shine in Cherry and this one is Watermelon. More than actual watermelon, it tastes more like watermelon bubblegum. If you're an Indian, you might know the taste of Boomer & BigBabol Bubblegums and this is exactly the same taste. It leaves a sheer pink tint on the lips and that's great. Esp when I wear a heavy eye makeup, sometimes I just choose to wear this lipbalm and completely skip lipstick!
The top 2 pics are of Vaseline Rosy Lips & Nivea Fruity Shine in Watermelon and bottom row is Vaseline Cocoa Butter.
Finally the Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla and Macadamia flavour. This too has petroleum base. The consistency is not as soft as Vaseline Lip Therapy. Its slightly on the heavily packed side. This has castor oil, shea butter, almond oil and more. In the pack its white and on lips its transparent. The consistency is very heavy when compared to rest 3. Its not as moisturizing as the Fruity Shine version or Vaseline Lip Therapies and requires constant re-application. Its very hard to actually take the product out with the fingers! Of late I just apply it directly on the lips like I do with the stick! Yes, I know, its unhygienic, but I never share my lip balms and that's definitely more hygienic than using nails to scrap out product as finger tip isn't enough!!!

  5. Lip balm is necessary for ytaveling outside the house. It's likewise important with lotion and perfume. Women should have one inside their bags. Vaseline products are great ever since.

  6. I remember how a lip balm was a necessity in my hometown especially on cold months. It really helps the lip from drying.

  7. Are these items available worldwide already? I wonder if it is available in Philippines too. I'd definitely want to give a try of them. Also, the packaging is simply gorgeous.

  8. I always prefer lip balms to lipsticks since lipsticks cause the lips to darken. I've been searching for flavored lip balms for awhile now too. And I think I might have that Nivea lip shiner, only it's raspberry flavored.

  9. I am not too particular about lip balms. If I am in a cold country and I need one, I can buy any brand that is available.

  10. Vaseline lip balm is more effective for me. If I can't find one, I switch to petroleum jelly for the meantime.- KarenT
