After the Maternity Series, here comes the fruit of my long wait - my little 'Atyudarini' (click to know about her name's meaning and more....)!!!

Remember my Baby Shower - Valaikappu? Remember I told you that the bracelet I was wearing is a talisman that represented the womb? As I also mentioned then, that its supposed to be opened when the labour pain starts to represent the opening of womb i.e birthing... My mom did open it up as I went through 'that' incredible pain!!! Well, I had to photograph the open Valai with what it protected - my li'l gal!!!

As much as I'm against gender specific colors (yeah, I didn't buy anything pink for her except for this mat!), it turned out to be October for her which has Pink Tourmaline as the birth stone!!! My guy got 2 shirts like this in different colors as a gift. But then, he isn't really someone who wears half sleeved shirts. It was lying in his cupboard for a couple months and then the perfect situation happened. With my big belly I needed loose outfits, plus ofcourse I needed outfits that would help me to nurse with it. So basically they moved from his wardrobe to mine!

I just didn't realize this until by chance I saw these 3 pieces in my wardrobe together - the shirt, earrings and shoes. They were all exactly the same shade!!! I found this sparkly sequinned earrings in the Sunday Midi Market in Brussels! Such a colorful, sparkly pair of earrings at €1 was just too tempting to resist.

Brussels has quite a few interesting markets of which 3 are near the Midi area - Midi Market, Marolles Market and Clamenceau Market. My mom recently ventured out to the Marolles Flea Market and when she spotted this stunning necklace she couldn't resist!

When she got it home, I was so impressed by it and wanted to take a shoot with it! Obviously I wanted the necklace to be the hero of the entire outfit, so I chose a very simple & plain top to go with it. As usual my primary concern currently is only on outfits that would help with nursing. So yeah, I got this top with me when I moved here from India.

To pair with the vermillion color of the necklace, I didn't have any outfit or jewelry or accessory of the same color at all, and neither did I have anything in antique, oxidised silver in my present vanity case. I hardly got any jewelry with me when I moved. Anyways, I had this crimson colored earrings and red jeggings. Minor shade variation from the necklace, but I think they go well with each other. What do you say?

One more of my thrifted outfits! But not the whole outfit, just the dress. As usual looking for new outfits that would help me through pregnancy and nursing, I found this at a flea market in Brussels. Guess for how much??? Believe me when I say I got it for €2, just two euros!!!

I love the print that it has! It has a huge circle in the centre that kinda perfect filled the football that my belly is, now!!! Lolz.... The bust is nice elastic that fitted me perfectly, plus this would be easy to nurse post delivery as well. To match with the circular print of the dress, I opted for the circular name necklace and white, red & blue circular earrings!

I bought that bag at Pipli itself! Remember my post on my vintage shrug here? Remember I told you that the work is handicraft done in the town of Pipli in Odisha in India? Recently I got a chance to visit Pipli and I bought this bag there! This bag isn't as much an intricate work as that shrug, but then its still a handicraft and I loved how spacious and colorful the bag is! Perfect to fit quite a few of my present needs including wallet, cellphone and even an FUD (aka pee funnels!), without which I don't venture out these days!!!

Yet another of my thrifted outfits! Again towards helping me with my pregnancy & nursing, I found this at a flea market in Brussels. This is again €5!!! All I need would be a scarf to wrap me when I'm feeding...

This time I found a cute off a cute shoulder dress, made of a nice, stretchable, knitted fabric that wrapped around my belly pretty well! The hairband is my good old one from IrresistibleMe! My mom got these earrings at a small, little thrift store in Chennai. When she gave it to me, I didn't even understand what I was seeing and when she said its a pair of earrings, I sill didn't understand how to wear it!!! The crystal ball in the back is removable to aid wearing it and I totally, totally love the look of it!!! How cute is that!!!!

Btw, the location is around Marollen Flea Market in Brussels, where I found so many interesting graffiti. Esp., the one with those faces is actually in front of a primary school, probably painted by the kids themselves, I dunno! But for my present look, with the bump, it fits perfectly, doesn't it??!!!

You've already seen me wearing this dress long back, here. This is a lovely Indian kurta, ideally worn with chudidhar or leggings. But then, I love its shape and length so much that I could actually wear it as a dress!!!

Right now, autumn has set in, in Belgium and dresses have to be worn with stocking to keep myself warm. I found this cute polka dots stockings in Primark and had to buy it!

I love the dress for more than one reason! The top part has this random floral applique work and with faux leather bits in golden color and swirls of multi colored georgette fabric. The lower part has large floral motifs made of devore print also called the burn out print, where the original fabric is a mix of rayon and polyester and printing it with acid makes the rayon to burn out and only the polyester stays wherever there's no print! So the reverse of the required floral design is printed!!!

The hair accessory is from my own line, Bhushavali Eco Fashions. Its hand embroidered with zardozi work by the craftspersons of Maharashtra and completely handmade. The earrings are a cute pair of Chaand Bali that I found at a thrift store. The top part of it has Goddess Mahalakshmi on it. I think it doesn't even look like a thrifted jewelry. Does it???

In the streets of Brussels with Nadia Minkoff!

When I first saw this backpack, my first thought was 'a bump in front and a bump in back'!!! But first let me talk about the dress. The dress I'm wearing is from my own line - Bhushavali Eco Fashion. Its completely handmade. The fabric is Handspun, Handloom, Natural Indigo dyed fabric that simulates denim! I made this dress with full front zipper, making it more sensible to help in maternity & nursing.

Last time I was in Brussels, I was on a solo trip and now I had to show my guy the famous 'pissing statue' and its 2 not so famous counterparts. So we headed off to Mannekin Pis first and from there over to his sister, Jeanneke Pis... Unlike her brother, she was subjected to vandalism, so she's caged today... And from there our next stop was their pet dog, Zenneke Pis!!! Unlike his masters, he isn't a working statue, but just posing...

Well, I have written a dedicated post on My Travelogue about the 'Pissing Statues of Brussels'!!! Right in the middle of all these 3 statues is the Bourse - Brussels Stock Exchange, which is also a historical building, which is the 2nd pic in this post!!! And ofcourse, Brussels is known for its graffiti and that's one humongous graffiti behind me...

The bag is by Nadia Minkoff and guess what? It is a regular back pack. But see how perfectly it fits my camera!!! I've added some foam in the side & front pockets and at the base of the backpack and its my brand new camera bag!!!

I found this shirt dress in the weekend market near Tournai Belfry. And you know my situation now. I'm hunting for outfits that would look cool, and serve the purpose of nursing, after my delivery. So shirtdresses are just such a blessing for this purpose! So yeah, I picked it!

Well, I'm not a big fan of baby pink. I do love hot pink and salmon pink, but definitely not a fan of baby pink. But that store had hardly didn't have any other color, so I just picked it! .........and now comes the trouble of wearing it! How can I pair it with something without looking girly or like a cotton candy!!!

Can I combine baby pink and grey? Why can't I? I've combined dusty rose and dark grey earlier and loved the combo, so I went ahead and did this. And guess, I dug out from my own jewelry box, this earrings that I bought, probably a decade ago in the same baby pink & grey combo!!!!

And btw, who says your accessories have to match??? As my regular readers may know I've recently moved to Belgium and obviously my entire wardrobe did not move with me. All my black pumps had heels and the preggers me decided to just leave them back!!! Somehow, the belt of the shirtdress, was a mix of black & white with a tan edging! So I went ahead and paired my black backpack with tan shoes.... Cardinal sin????

To begin with - the whole damn outfit is thrifted (except minor elements may be)!!! I found that leopard print tee in the streets of Pondicherry in India. Being a big time lover of animal prints, I couldn't resist buying it. Bought it at 200 bucks (about €2.5 or £2.2).

Then when I moved to Belgium, I headed to Primark and with the summer sale, I found this bag at €5 and the Chelsea Boots at €3!!!!! It was way too tempting not to buy and I bought both!!! The shoes are great, but the zipper of the bag did give away. Gotta change that! The jeggings is from Primark as well which I bought long back in London and was £6. So yeah, except for the jewelry and sunglasses everything else is thrifted!!!

Ever since I saw this gorgeous leopard comic wall art near Palais de Justice in Brussels, I had made up my mind that I had to click the pic with this leopard tee in front of this wall art. Brussels is known for its comics, I mean, Tintin & Smurfs were born here!!! Such wall art are common and there's a mapped route as well that shows where these are. The graffiti on top of those is depressing though. I'm yet to go on that walk. Its gonna take a couple more months before I could do that (for obvious reasons!)...
