BLUE MANIA? INDIGO MANIA!!!

Finally after a very long gap, Indiblogger meet happened at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai and here's what I wore to the event.

The top is very very special and very close to my heart. A few posts back, remember in the post on What I wore on Day 2 of the art even, where I had a shot with Vyjayanthi Mala Bali, and I had thanked Big Bro Gasali??? So, who is this Gasali??? He is Gasali Adeyemo from Nigeria. He's a living legend as accredited by the World Crafts Council, for promoting the craft that his forefathers did. Its called Adire Eleko. I got the wonderful chance of meeting him and by the end of the day he was more like a big bro and gifted me a fabulous piece of Jacquard, Natural Indigo dyed, tie-dyed fabric handcrafted by himself!!! And I turned it into this double breasted, mandarin collared, peplum shirt! Hope you like it!

A fabric was gifted to me at ITC Grand Chola by him and I wore it as a garment back to ITC Grand Chola for Indiblogger meet!!! :)

This is Gasali with me and I'm wrapped in a vintage fabric more than 50 years old, hand crafted with Adire Eleko by Gasali's forefathers!!! I loaned it from him for this photograph!!! :)

Ofcourse I can't go to all of these places like a potato sack, with full sleeves and scarf et all!!! And more important, at the end of the day I have to look good. Can't go on with tanned, burnt skin and darkened forearms, to a party or wedding, right???

Can't let the sun & summer to spoil neither travel nor my skin, right??? My sunscreen is anything above 30 SPF, PA++ normally and 50 SPF, PA+++ in extreme cases. What's yours???
