Khadi Skin Care - A Review

Khadi - It does ring a bell. But of what? Of fabrics, right! But then recently, the KVIC (Khadi & Village Industries Corporation) has done a heck a lot of product diversification and has come up with a separate skin care product range and all of them are just fabulous!
To top the product range is the heck a lot of soaps. Not the traditional boring neem or sandal soaps that the Khadi Bhavan usually has, it’s an astonishing variety of glycerine soaps. The flavours include lavender, kewda, sandal, rosewater, orange, strawberry, lemon, khus, mixed fruit etc!!! Each and every one of it so damn amazing! The aroma gives such a feel-good factor that the bath feels almost spa-like! Esp, at this peak of summer, the aroma of orange is so so soothing!!!

That’s the extent of product diversification we are talking about within just the soaps! Then comes an array of crèmes and lotions and what not! There’s an orange gel facewash & fruity gleam facewash. Ofcourse, the CTM is available – Cleansing lotion in Natural Almond, Fruit Exfoliator, Rose water toner, Moisturising lotion, fairness cream etc. The manicure-pedicure range includes Lemon hand & foot cleanser, lemon pediscrub, lemon hand & foot massage crème.
Hair care includes cleanser varieties in Keshvardhak, Herbal Sat, Neemircale & Saritha. Some speciality products include Green Apple Lustrous facepack, Merry Berry Pack, Aloe Vera Gel and Kesar Body Massage Oil.
One speciality product that I am eyeing for is the Gold Massage Creme. It has certification for the originality of the gold particles!. Its a transparent lotion where the gold foil pieces were so clearly visible. Planning to get that soon!!!
Gifts & Kits are also available. A gift pack with 6 mini soaps and a couple of lotions was one. Kits include Gold Facial Kit, Haldi Facial Kit, Pudina Facial Kit etc.
Its all priced so so economically. You can get them in all the Khadi Gramodyog Bhavans all across India. Ofcourse, all these are made by the people in the villages of India, so THAT speciality is always there!!!
