Handbag Closet - How many Handbags do you have?
Just as I clicked my shoes, I thought I should extend it to my bags too!!!
Here they are in closer shots......
This is a mix of several made by me, several made by artisans and craftsmen all across India (includes Kalamkari of Kalahasthi of Andhra Pradesh, Pattamadai Mat Bag, Crochet Bag of Aloe vera & Jute yarn, Hand embroidered from Pipli of Orissa & Gujarat & West Bengal etc) several thrifted (the best of thrifted is my Burberry Checks) and few branded incl. Hidesign and few received as gift... Many are handbags, few clutches & few potli's & few purses.
This one needs a special mention. This is technically the first ever handbag that I made as a part of my college assignment. This one was inspired by my first 'mottai' or the first head tonsuring when I was about 2 yrs old as a part of the religious sentiments. The pics of bald, infant me standing in the temple premises inspired me to make this bag which has a mix of assorted techniques including embroidery, painting, patchwork, applique, wading etc.What say???
No, this time I did not actually count. So now, how many bags do you own???
