Art Event Outfit - Embroidered Salwar Kameez & Cap

You saw what I wore on Day 1 of the Art Event and here's what I wore on Day 2.
Kurti: Patti ka Kaam by an artisan from Aligarh
Leggings: From a thrift market in Bangalore
Stole: Handwoven by an aritsan from Orissa
Peeptoes: Jabong-IN


 Beret: Suzani embroidery by Living Legend Zarina Kendjaeva of Uzbekistan
Wooden beaded elastic Necklace: Handmade by an artisan from Chennapatna
Wooden Peacock Earrings: Handmade by an artisan from Chennapatna

I haven't worn a beret at all so far in my life, though I always wanted one. I've seen one ages ago done by Himachal Pradesh artisans when I was a little girl and didn't bother to buy it. Now, when I saw this, that too hand embroidered by Living Legend Zarina Kendjaeva I wanted it and I bought it and flaunted it the whole day I bought it... Its reversible with cross stitch embroidery on one side and Ikat on the other!!!

Guess who I met on that day????? VYJAYANTHI MALA BALI!!!! For those who don't know who she is she's a fabulous, beautiful dancer and an actress of the 50s and 60s!!! I was more than happy to have met her and I was beaming! Isn't that so visible on  my face... Here's the wikipedia page about her...
And when I saw her, obviously I wanted a pic with her and she was willing too. But I couldn't find anyone nearby, for me to handover the camera. I ended up giving my cam to Living Legand Gasali Adeyamo and asked him to click!!! Thank you so much Big Bro Gasali!!!!! 
So, who is Gasali? I'll let you know after a few posts.
