Navrathri Look - Patiala & waist coat
Here's my 2nd Navrathri look with a patiala. Patiala is originally a place in Punjab. Salwar kameez being the staple outfit of this region, a particular type of salwar (a draped women's trousers), with lots of pleats got its name as Patiala Salwar. Ideally its worn with a kurta, but then, you've gotta do something crazy, right?
Its a blue green, hand block printed Patiala. This time I wanted to go for an all green look. So I opted to wear it with a green tee and a beige block printed, hand embroidered waist coat. Its almost 3m fabric that has gone into it. I actually love, how the pleats fall and forms curvy drapes!

So, have you worn a Patiala Salwar in any other way, than with a kurta? Let me know....
