DIY Tinted Lip Balm

Ever since I saw the Mac Tinted Lip Conditioner in Fuchsia Fix, I fell in love with it. But somehow I never bought it, coz it was too pricey. Anyways, remember my recent post on the review Omved Lip Balm??? Well, more than half of it got over and I thought, why not make my own Tinted Lip Conditioner with it??? So here's what I did.
Here are the things I used - My half used Omved Lip Balm, Amway lipstick in Candy Pink (its the nearest shade to Fuchsia Fix, in my lipstick stash), A capsule of Vitamin E.
Instead of the a Lip Balm, I could have used Vaseline too. But personally I hate the feel of petroleum jelly on my lips!!!

I took a small chunk of the lipstick and added it to the lipbalm container.
I cut and emptied the contents of Vitamin E capsule in it, as well...
I gave it a nice mix with a clean, fresh tooth pick and here's my Dupe for Mac Fuchsia Fix Lip Conditioner!
Ofcourse the staying power & nourishment of this cannot be compared to Mac! But at this price, I think its ok!!!
Have you ever tried something like this??? Did it work for you...???

  3. That's awesome! I used to make my own when I was a lot younger. I used vitamin E too :) Except that I'd use eyeshadow for the pigment instead of lipstick. Probably was not a smart/healthy thing to do...but whatever.

Thanks for sharing this idea! It brings back memories :D

  16. Funny people think you just need lip balm in the winter but you need it just as much in the summer time.

  21. Whoa--that's a pretty close dupe! How is the consistency? I hate petroleum jelly as well, so this might be a good idea.

    1. The consistency was pretty thick. Adding one more capsule of Vit E solved the problem! :)
