Gaghra Choli Challenge - Part 2

Time for a Wardrobe Challenge - Contd.
Remember my last post on how I converted the Choli of my Gaghra Choli in 2 different looks, one casual and one formal? Well, here is its continuation.
For the third look, I opted for the Gaghra (Skirt) instead of the Choli. Since the Gaghra was heavily embroidered, I opted to pair it with a plain tee. Yes, its the same green tee that I wore here and here. I'm so much is love with it and I'm planning to buy a few more in other colors. Anyways, after wearing it, since the tee was absolutely plain I added up a belt and chunky necklace. My hair into a simple tousled side braid and that's it, one more look with my Gaghra Choli. I wouldn't term it casual, its more of a festive look!

Skirt: Gaghra of the Gaghra Choli set!
Necklace: Handmade by the artisans of Himachal Pradesh
Wooden Bangles: Handmade by artisans of Chennapatna
Shoes: c/o  Mart of China
Belt: Romwe.com c/o Ocrun

For the final look, again I took the Choli, and again I paired it with the same purple denim I wore on Look 2. But I skipped the blazer that gave a formal look. Instead I layered it with a pink jersey top from within to give it a Boho look! Yes, I could have skipped the jersey layering, and worn the choli and trousers only. But its a bit too short and would give a bare midriff look, which I'm not ok with!

Top: Choli of the Gaghra Choli set!
Pink Tee (Layered within): Thrifted from a Flea Market in Bangalore
Purple Jean: c/o Zovi.com
Shoes: c/o Wholesaleorders.com
Earrings: Annai Velankanni Self Help Group
Wooden Bangles: Handmade by artisans of Chennapatna
Aviators: Reebok

The earrings that I'm wearing was hand crafted by a self-help group located in Chennai. The piece I'm wearing was done by a very skilled lady whose both legs were non-functional. She was the perfect example of being differently-abled. Her eye for detail and her aesthetics in jewellery creation were so beautiful. If you're in Chennai or visiting Chennai, make sure you visit her and she'll have some jewellery of your liking or she'll readily make one for you too!!! She can be contacted at Swapna Fashion Jewellery at Shenoy Nagar in Chennai. Ph: +91 44 2664 1904; +91 90422 70052.

5 looks with  one Gaghra Choli set that was almost useless and almost never worn except for a couple of weddings (Look 1, Look 2 & 5, Look 3 & 4)!!! Yippee..... The Gaghra Choli is back into the regular wardrobe!!! So.......... mission accomplished!!!!!
