YLG Gold Manicure & Pedicure - A Review
Recently YLG salons have introduced a new way to pamper women with Gold Manicure and Pedicure! Here's my experience with it...
First things first. YLG stands for You Look Great! I love the name!!! The place is well equipped with modern technology and clean instruments.
The hair spa section has equipment that can radiate warm light or cool light depending on the clients mood and requirement. See the water vapour coming out of those hair spa helmets?!!! The waxing beds looked comfy too!
One thing that really scares me when it comes to Mani-Pedi is the cleanliness of the instruments and they almost dig into the nail beds and skin. When I enquired about it, I was informed that they clean it first with running water followed by UV ray exposure to kill the germs. That's the UV ray machine. Well, I'm satisfied... :)
Second, the new service of Gold Mani-Pedi. No woman can resist Gold. Indian women have a love for gold that's very special and inherently bonded with the culture and heritage. Same gold used to pamper your hands and feet does sound awesome, isn't it?
It begins with cleaning with soapy, bubbly, luke warm, water, in a vibrating tub. Then the actual Gold mani-pedi comes in 3 parts. First is the scrub. Then is a massage with a cream mixed with Gold essense.
Next is the Gold Pack. After the pack the pack was applied, I was packed!!! Lolz.. My hands and legs were wrapped in cling film.
That moment I indeed felt, next they were gonna put me inside an oven and make a tandoori chicken out of me!!! Lolz!!!
Again the cleanliness is taken care of, here as well. An individual sealed pack with 3 compartments with scrub, cream and pack was used for every individual client... I should accept, once the pack was removed, my hands and feet indeed felt so soft and supple. Loved the feel, totally!
After that I was somehow convinced by them to have a hair wash and blow dry, though I was totally not ready for it. Well, I am always very scared of blow dry, coz I have very sensitive, super fine hair, and the heat might almost destroy my hair.
But then lots of serum was applied prior to blow dry to protect my hair and they final effect was super shiny, gorgeous hair. Loved that too...
That's the women's team at Besant Nagar, Chennai YLG Salon. Neelam: the hair expert, Vijaya: the pedicurist, myself after being pampered, Sajni: asst. manager of the branch, Nijuja: the manicurist!!! I had a long, tiring day that day with work and travel and biking whole day since morning and the tiredness shows well on my face. I reached the salon in the evening. It was indeed a perfect way to wrap up the day!!!

ReplyDeleteI really like your hair, it looks so shiny and perfect. But if you have a feeling that a blow dry is not good for your hair, you can always use it only once in a while. I always blow dry my hair because that seems to me the quickest way to dry it. I haven't noticed any negative side affects.
