Jeweled Tee - Phoenix AW16 Show - My Outfit

You've seen my post on the PhoenixAW16 Show and at the end of the post I told you that the Chief Editor of Cosmopolitan India, Nandini Bhalla found my outfit interesting. So what did I wear??? If you are from the southern part of India, you'll know what this is....

Top: Bhushavali
Jeggings: Primark
Shoes: Thrifted from a Flea Market in Chennai
Wooden Bangles: Handmade by an artisan from Andhra Pradesh
Earrings: Thrifted from a Flea Market in Chennai

Did you figure out what it is? Well, that's a rice sack. The print on it is of Lord Shiva & Parvathi that comes with the bag. I opened up the bottom sewing of the bag and cut out the neck & armhole and stitched the shoulders. I was inspired by Tarun Tahiliani & JJ Valaya's Jeweled Tee (remember their tiff in 2003??!!!!), and I adorned this with jewelry and sequins. To go with it, I chose chunky wooden bangles and a huge crystal danglers. Since I went heavy with earrings & bangles, I chose not to wear anything on the neck.

And ofcourse, that's selfies with Nandini Bhalla, chief editor Cosmopolitan India and Chennai's own choreographer Karun Raman & socialite Sneha Nair at the event. Finally, that's Chennai's own Bloggers Rutika Saraf, Asmita Madhu, JP Sindhu & Subhiksha Venkat! All photographs except selfies are by Tamilmani of Chennai TimePass.
