One more 'No-Makeup' Makeup Look!
Some time back, Revlon came up with a contest on FB called 'Twice as good' calling for readers to share the two different aspects of themselves. I sent mine too, depicting my 2 blogs, this one & My Travelogue! And guess what, I was one of the winners... Yippee!!!! Remember my earlier posts on 'No-Makeup' Makeup. Basically that's make up that doesn't look made up. One of my earlier posts was using Lakme majorly and the other was using Mineral Hygenics majorly. Now, here's an 'No-Makeup' Makeup FOTD with review of Revlon Photoready products I got!
First is the Revlon Photoready Makeup Foundation. It is a liquid foundation. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser. Its a sturdy, travel friendly packaging. Its a heavy, smooth liquid. A little bit is enough for the entire face. I prefer to apply with my fingers by dotting all over the face and spreading it. It takes some time to get spread and to get absorbed. But once done, it gives complete coverage with dewy effect. It feels light on skin. It has 20 SPF which is great. This is available in 4 shades and mine was 'N*de'.
This is called Revlon Photoready Concealer. The creamy concealer came in a twister stick form, like lipstick. Perfectly travel friendly. I swiped it directly around my eyes and spread & smudged it with fingers. It was absolutely perfect and completely concealed all darkness around the eyes. This too has an SPF of 20. I opted for the shade Medium Deep.
The third is the Revlon Photoready Compact powder. It comes with a small bush and a lid that's half tranparant and with mirror. Though its a powder, it gives a pretty heavy coverage. The powder is very fine and spreads well on the skin. It absorbs any shine or oiliness from skin. This too has an SPF of 14. The brush is ok if you're on travel, but for a proper finish you might need a better brush! If you want a dewy finish you may want to skip this, coz this gives a matte look.
I wore the 3 products together for this FOTD. I ran errands, I went outside in humid climate & pollution, I ate, I took a little nap, I sweated and the makeup did not budge for more than 5 hours. After that the powder started to give up, the concealer and foundation still stayed intact even further...
The only trouble in the entire range is the shades available. The foundation is in 4 shades, the concealer in 2 shades, powder in 3 shades. This creates a slight trouble. You may not find your perfect shade. The shades I used, were good and were the nearest to my skintone and suited me well, but left a slight white cast, which was a bit disappointing!!!
Btw, for this look, apart from Revlon photoready range, I additionally used Viviana Inkliner , Elle 18 Kajal and Lakme lipstick in 651 Barely There.
The product was given by the company as a gift for winning the FB contest, however the opinions are of my own experience and are this post does not to advertise the product.
