Bride's Maid Look - Metallic Maxi Skirt
Recently one of the besties of my hubby got married, so I wasn't exactly a bride's maid. Anyways, here's what I wore! If that skirt looks familiar, yeah, that's was my Diwali outfit last year. You saw it here, here, here, here, here, and its the same that I wore while dancing Garba in Ahmedabad as you saw it here.
This time I wanted to wear it with a shorter, less glittery top. And incidentally, I had this fabric. Guess what it is? Its the blouse piece of the saree you saw here. I made it into this very simple sleeveless top with broad shoulders.
Did some multi colored floral embroidery both front and back and a nice big golden flower in the centre, so I can wear it with any colored skirt!

How awesome are those earrings? As such I love long danglers and I love anything that's asymmetric and this was a beautiful combo of both. And somehow it reminded me of Game of Thrones too (My Sun & Stars, The Moon of my life!).......

Reminds me so much of pattu paavadai I used to wear when I was small. It's traditional and fun.

ReplyDeleteI feel this may be too mature-looking for younger bridesmaids. Interesting choice of metallic cloth as opposed to the usual chiffon gowns for weddings.
