Casual Date Look - LBD with Knee High Boots

...Richmond upon Thames...
One of the most beautiful places I've been in, in recent times. The town of Richmond along the River Thames. What made it more beautiful was the non-stop drizzle that showered all day long! The perfect wedding anniversary date! Read more about the place on My Travelogue
I wore my brand new LBD from Luxemme with n*de tights and black knee high boots. I quite much loved this Little Black Dress. The material is 100% Polyester. Its knee length and has small side slits. The best part is ofcourse the neckline! Its a variation of halter neck with a  narrow section of fabric in the centre with a loop around the neck. At the bust, the fabric folds to create a layer, that goes around the arms forming a sleeve, leaving the shoulders bare.
Its true to size, UK size. However it needs to be worn with a good silicon bra or bandeau within, coz with this kinda sleeve, when you raise your arms, you might end up doing a bit of wardrobe malfunction. I chose to wear it with an all black sports bra that made the neckline all the more interesting! Isn't it???
Dress: c/o Luxemme
Tights: Primark
Boots: c/o Online Avenue
Gloves: Primark
Jacket: Thrifted from a Flea Market in Bangalore
On the other hand, I went on a stocking shopping as soon as reached here. Quite weird as it may sound, I had no color that suited my skin tone. There was black, navy blue, dark green, then there was a mustard yellow, then a wine red, then a burnt orange, and then a n*de which was a light beige. I was standing there at Primark's stocking section and with the yellow, orange and beige on my hand. I was darker than the beige, redder than the yellow, and yellower than the orange!!!! After getting pissed off after sometime I bought the n*de. Wearing it in the outfit, what do you say?

  1. Ilove the dress except for the chest/arm piece, my mother used to dress me in ruffles and since I could shop for myself I've avoided flappy bits at all costs!
Love the boots though, great photo shoot xx

  4. I love wearing black, I think that's a staple in my closet and people identify me as the person who always wear black, lol. I like the dress! I wish I could wear knee high boots in this weather.

  8. I must say that it quite a different dress design that looks quite fetching on you. Pairing it with those boots was very bold but it makes quite a statement.

  12. Love the details on the upper portion. Although that dress wouldn't be a great choice to wear in our country.
