Bold Eyes & Bold Lips FOTD

There is an unwritten law that says it should be either bold eyes or bold lips! But them why???? Why not wear both together and very recently on a trip I did exactly that. How do you like this look? Like it or hate it??? Have you done it??!!!! Let me know....
Here in the 1st pic is my clear face without any makeup on it with just the moisturizer (yes, my good old face oil that's my own formulation!!!). 2nd pic is with the cream concealer & liquid foundation. The 3rd pic is with a powder foundation to complete and clear the skin tone and blemishes!
After this came the eye makeup for which I used the Coastal Scents eyeshadow. Since my outfit that day was all white with occasional floral print in blue, so I opted for a blue eyeshadow. What is fun if it isn't a hint of shimmer, right? So my earrings are a pair of asymmetrical ones of gold and blue colors!!! So the eyes were jewel toned blue and a midnight blue, both in shimmery texture!!! Below are the list of things I used!

Lipstick: M.A.C Retro Matte in Riri Woo c/o House of Fraser
Blush: Lakme Rouge in Peach Affair
Eyeshadow: Coastal Scents 252 Ultimate Palette (the 2 colors used are circled)
Eyeliner: Mineral Hygienics in Raven (reviewed here)

    didn't expect bold lips to go well with bold eye MU too! but this is definitely a night look, don't think it's good for day MU though.

    I've heard about that rule. I think it probably depends on the person. Personally, you look great with both of them on. :)

    I love that eye shadow palette! I usually don't do bold eyes, only bold lips-- however this look suits you. It looks nice.

    Bold eye shadows is something I'm not used to because of my big eyes and wide mouth. I think I need to go subtle rather than obvious!

    It's always great to use bold colors when you're wearing simple outfits! It definitely adds more style. Love the blending of the two blue hues, it's really lovely!

    I guess when you go bold in your makeup, go all the way -- depends on the situation. I am not really a makeup connoisseur though, my wife hardly wears any in daily life.

    I appreciate seeing a lady with natural eye brows and to stylishly blend it up with a simply color makes me "woooow". That's creamy radiant with an eye shadow! Can't deny, my fav curve in a woman is her lips!

    You look great with those roind eyes and bold lips. But I think, bold make up is great during a night our or event during the night. You have lovely face features altogether.

    Actually bold eyes and bold lips going quite well on you. How about the lipstick shade in purple or dark pink to go with your eye Color?
